Dr Bruce Emerson grew up in Cambridge and qualified in Medicine at Charing Cross Hospital Medical School in 1987.

After General Practice training he underwent extensive anaesthetic training in London and the North East Thames Region. He has been an NHS consultant since 1999. He specialises in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care for adults and children for Burns, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the world famous St Andrew’s Centre in Broomfield Hospital.

He also specialises in Pre-Operative Assessment. He is currently Clinical Director of the Department of Anaesthesia at Broomfield Hospital.
