Mr Ramakrishnan was a guest lecturer at the symposium in Hull, where he spoke on state of the art surgical techniques in reconstruction for women who have suffered from breast cancer.

“Today, improvements in microsurgery have completely transformed how we perform breast reconstruction. Not only are we much faster, but the aesthetic outcomes are now excellent.

“I started DIEP flap surgery in Hull over twenty years ago, and in that time, we have improved our techniques to such an extent I can now perform three DIEP flap reconstructions in one theatre in a day, with consistently outstanding results.”
