Mr Ramakrishnan was one of just two British speakers invited to give a lecture at the annual American meeting. His lecture was titled ‘How to do the fastest DIEP’.

He commented: “This meeting brings together the best of America’s microsurgical surgeons, so it was a great privilege to be invited to speak there. I was invited to speak on the subject of DIEP flaps because of the extremely high volume of cases with outcomes  we complete each year.”
